Kingwood Junior Tour

We believe to have fun at golf you have to play the game with your friends and family in an environment that is welcoming and challenges the golfer at their skill level. We have many different events through the year including our Spring & fall parent junior tournament, our Junior Tour series, PGA junior league, Drive Chip & Putt, workshops, open-days and more. Is my child ready for a tournament?
Absolutely. The whole point is to get them on the golf course and play. This is their game and to get out on the golf course
Is there a max score on a hole?
Yes, 8. A swing and a miss does count. For all players, if you get to 8 shots on a hole you are required to pick up and proceed to the next tee box and you will get an “8” for that hole.
When should I check in the day of the tournament?
Thirty minutes to one hour before your tee time at the registration table located by the pro shop. Be at the first tee by your assigned time 10 minutes prior.
Why do Juniors they start at 100 yards?
Each player has been assigned a colored stake in the fairway or a particular set of tees from where to tee off. The reason being is that we want the kids to have success and they need to learn to score from close range. Until they can shoot 39 or under from their respective tees they should not move back to longer tees. As they grow and get bigger and stronger and can hit it further, their whole game will be played from 100 yards and in. If they learn to score from here now it will serve them so much better than struggling from the back tees. Once a player reaches the Jr. Tees we require them to shoot 34 or under in order to move back to the Red/Forward Tees.
Can parents caddy?
Yes, and for kids 10 and under, you can rent a cart through the pro shop for an additional fee paid directly to the pro shop.
Can grandparents, mom, brothers/
Yes, we encourage family and friends to come out and watch your Junior play. If player needs more than one cart for spectators, a cart rental of $5 per additional cart needed. In future events we hope to incorporate a meal / awards ceremony afterwards at an additional cost paid directly to KWCC Food & Beverage.
What does entry fee include:
Green fees, range balls, one golf cart for junior player and caddy, fees towards coaching staff to run the event, and prizes that will be awarded. Future events may include food, beverage that can be pre-purchased during the awards ceremony.

The KWGAS Hat System is awesome!
The program has improved my short game and shown me where my improvements need to be made on my game. Every week we work on goals and the results come from hard work"
